Bio
A bit about me
I see children, adolescents, and adults in my private practice in the heart of downtown Salem — unhurried, evidence-based care built one conversation at a time.
How I got here
I studied psychology at UMass Amherst, and after graduating I spent time working within the public school system and psychiatric hospital setting. Those early experiences shaped how I think about care — meeting people where they are, across the different systems and communities they move through.
From there, I went back to school at Yale School of Nursing, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric and Mental Health. During that time, I also worked as a Registered Nurse on an inpatient psychiatric unit — an experience that gave me a grounded appreciation for acute care and how much it matters what happens after someone leaves.
For a decade, I worked within a federally qualified health center. A significant part of that time was spent in school-based health centers, which reinforced how much collaborative care matters — working alongside school communities, families, and primary care teams to support kids and adolescents in a way no single provider can do alone. Alongside my clinical work, I took on increasing responsibility over time, eventually serving as Director of Psychopharmacology and building out psychiatric training programs. Supervising and teaching providers at every stage of their training has become a meaningful thread running through my career alongside my clinical work — I’ve come to believe that good clinical training ripples outward in ways that reach far more people than any one clinician can.
Outside of work
You’ll usually find me outside with my family, working through a mile-long reading list, or taking long walks around Salem in search of good food. I have strong opinions about where to eat around here, and I’m always happy to share recommendations.
